Description
Active Constituents:** Toltrazuril 50 g/L **Baycox Piglet and Cattle** is a powerful coccidiocide that effectively controls coccidiosis in young piglets and cattle up to 9 months of age. Coccidiosis arises from infections with Isospora suis in piglets and Eimeria bovis or Eimeria zuemil in cattle. Isospora suis infection is a leading cause of diarrhea, dehydration, loss of appetite, poor growth, and even mortality in piglets, particularly between birth and 3-4 weeks of age. Baycox delivers effective results with just one dose, targeting all developmental stages of the parasite within the animal. Toltrazuril, the active ingredient in Baycox®, decisively combats all intracellular stages of coccidia. It disrupts the parasite’s multiplication and energy pathways, both treating and preventing clinical disease while allowing the animal to build immunity against coccidia. It is imperative to obtain a veterinary diagnosis to accurately assess the cause of diarrhea before administering this product. Clinical coccidiosis in piglets generally manifests between 5 and 30 days of age. The most effective control of the disease is achieved by administering Baycox as a preventative measure before any intestinal damage or diarrhea occurs. Determining the correct cause of scours in neonatal piglets is crucial. Treat all new litters at 3-6 days of age to ensure robust disease control.
